OMG, I wrote something...

Okay, so it's just a drabble, but it's something.
From here, the challenge from [personal profile] ishara was "what Kitty thinks of Emma in a hundred words"

It's 122 words, and set about the time of Whedon's Astonishing #1

It was frustrating, she acted like she owned the place.  Queen of the hive, Scott wrapped around her little finger, treating everyone else as if they were peons.  No, not everyone else, just Kitty.

“Not frustrating, more like infuriating,” Kitty walked through the woods, desperate to get away for a few minutes, away from Ms Perfect.

“If the professor were here, he wouldn’t trust her…”  She mumbled as she came to a halt.  That was just it, wasn’t it?  The professor was gone, and now Emma was here.  Shaking her head Kitty frowned, her resolve growing.  There was no way that woman was going to just take over, no way, not in a million years, not as long as Kitty were here.

I'm not all that happy with it, but considering i've written all of nothing since, well, I left FT, it'll do.

What can I say, it just kind of happened!

Hee, but it is good! I love the imagery, and the way you've caught Kitty's ire. I think you just need to be challenged from time to time, your inner writer just needs to be coaxed out, is all. *mwah*

Thanks hon. Challenges and a wee bit of coaxing are indeed my friends.

Thanks

Nice.

"Though why is everyone so down on Emma Frost?" He asks not actually having read X-Men since Here Comes Tomorrow and being somewhat wary of Whedon taking over on Runaways.

Heh, well, there are hints from the very first whedon book that things aren't as they seem with Emma. Emma and Kitty also have a long and complicated background.

I hope they're not doing the old "Emma feels guilty and goes bonkers" storyline they've been doing every so often since the Hellions kicked the bucket.

And Adrienne Frost killed Synch.

And the genocide on Genosha.

And Sophie and Esme Cuckoo died.

Hmm... Emma Frost's pupils have a higher mortality rate than The New Warriors. No wonder Firestar didn't want to go back to The Massachusetts Academy...

I think they're doing a bit more "hellfire aren't dead, and they're pulling emma's strings:" of a thing. Will she play along, will she not? Oh, it's all so much tension!

But you're right, they do all seem to have a tendency to fall back onto, well, old fallbacks.

It's morning. No coffee yet. Me no type or think so good.
