You're likely here for this very letter, hoping to get more information on what I love about these fandoms, etc. Hopefully this helps. As always these are just ideas and for information. I look forward to getting any story you write, and I know that there are hundreds of ideas out there I've never thought of that are likely brilliant and would just thrill me!
What I like? I prefer character driven to plot driven stories. That being said, a good plot can really catch me. Any rating from G up to NC-17. Slash/het/gen, I'm fine there too. My lines are dub-con and non-con and really bizarre fetishes, but other than that, I'm fine (bdsm included, not that I think it's really appropriate in any of my requests). I like funny, serious and angst when it's not excessive. I really am open to quite a lot. I like five things memes in about any form, and glimpses of the past. Argh, there's likely so much I could write, but I think I am writing enough down here.
These are in no particular order, other than the order that I happened to think of things to write for them.

Fandom One: Big Love
Characters: Adaleen Grant, Alby Grant, Nicolette Grant
Original Request: At one point Adaleen claims to have gotten to where she was by climbing over the backs of four souls. Life on the compound would have been interesting for the three of them. Adaleen as Roman's favourite wife, and Nikki and Alby as favoured daughter and son. I'd love anything from childhood to adulthood and their continuing rivalry to even a story just about Adaleen or just about Nikki and Alby. Gen only please.
More Information: When I look at these three I often end up thinking 'With friends like these, who needs enemies'. Adaleen is to me, one of the strongest characters in Big Love. Not always admirable, with a dry and sometimes jaded view of the world, she nonetheless supports Roman in all of his endeavours. Her rise up the family tree (she was after all fourth wife but has the role of first) would have affected everyone on the compound, but most importantly her two children. They've learned their manipulation skills from Adaleen but they still can't hold a candle to her. They know each others secrets and aren't afraid to use them against each other, even though they're family.
Character driven stories are best in this area. Something that shows motivation, moments in the past, Alby and Nikki at each other's throats or even working together. Adaleen and the other wives, or her manipulating even Roman.
Fandom Two: Babylon AD
Characters: Aurora, Toorop
Original Request: I've always been intrigued by the tension that exists between Aurora and Toorop. I'd love to see that explored. Gen/Het both welcome.
More Information: Aurora and Toorop have a strange relationship. He may have to kill her and yet he protects her. She's a virgin and they exude sexual tension in a few scenes. She kills him in order to protect him. In the end, he becomes the parent to her children. Honestly, I would just love to see their relationship explored. Deleted scenes, after the movie, alternate endings, dream fic, anything and all you can think of is cool.
Fandom Three: Rome (tv)
Characters: Atia of the Julii, Mark Antony
Original Request: Atia and Mark Antony have a tumultuous relationship. Yet in their twisted way they truly seem to love the other, or did at one point. They fight as much as fuck, and they manipulate one another constantly. But there is something that runs beneath it that fascinates me. Gen/Het both welcome.
More Information: Atia is my favourite character from Rome. She is mostly amoral, her main concerns being herself, and then her family. Their security is everything to her, and as such she plots and deals to keep them safe. She wishes them to fall in line, and when they do not she becomes angry. Full of pride, she is a good match for Marc Antony. Hedonist and wishing for power, they become involved with one another at first for selfish reasons. Their relationship seems to change over time, and when he is banished it seems they have true affection for each other.
I'd love to see their relationship explored. The madness of it, their hedonism, the way they avoided their real affection, their difficulties and misunderstandings. The way her family got in the way, the way they used each other politically, any of it.
Fandom Four: Sanctuary (tv)
Characters: Dr Helen Magnus, Dr. James Watson, John Druitt, Nikola Tesla
Original Request: The four old friends have a feel to them that is reminiscent of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. All Victorian, and each with extraordinary abilities gifted by the vampire blood they injected. How is it they knew of the existence of the Abnormals in the first place? What were they like before they injected the blood? How did the friendship decay and deteriorate. How have they survived over the years and what contact have they all been in. Obviously this story can't be all of this, but I would love something that delved further into their friendship and enmity, and their lives.
More Information: There is so much unanswered about these four who were once inseperable friends. How did Helen's father reveal his work to her, or the others? Did they know about Abnormals already? What did they go through after their change? While some of the changes had a hugely detrimental affect (ie John and the Ripper) there is so much left to be filled in. How did they come to suspect him? Watson versus Jack? Tesla dealing with his vampire nature, and his affection for Magnus? How did they manage through the years, saying goodbye or not as the case may be. I really want some of that history that is alluded to filled in.
The fandom that didn't make the cut, but I'm leaving what I had here anyway. It got removed last minute in favour of Sanctuary.
Fandom the extra: North and South US
Characters: Ashton Main, Brett Main, Charles Main, Billy Hazard
Original Request: There's a period where these four get thrown together frequently. Billy and his infatuation for Ashton and later affection for Brett, and with his ever-important friendship with Charles. They're often seen talking or playing cards. How do things change and develop? Behind the scenes, moments we might have missed, times the boys got in trouble or the girls argued. Gen only please.
More Information: I've recently re-discovered my love of North & South. I'm a fan of both the books and the miniseries, though I have seen the series more than I've read the books. As Orry and George are the focus of the first part of both, our glimpses of the characters I've listed are occassional at first. They become more frequent as they age and the story starts to transition to include their generation. I'd love to see more of what they did behind the scenes. Or perhaps later in life as adults, once the rivalry between Ashton and Brett is more prevalent. Their differences and yet their similarities. Really, I would just love to see more of these four.
